Communication Arts Selects Churchill

September 15, 2006

2006CAAnnual.jpgWe're proud to announce that Churchill and the Great Republic, the online exhibition we produced last year for the Library of Congress, has been selected for inclusion in the 2006 Communication Arts Interactive Annual. One of the judges described it as "wonderfully dynamic, beautifully designed, and smartly organized." Another said it was "a great, cinematic experience with the kind of flow that made me want to explore for hours."

Genographic Project Wins Two Webbys

May 09, 2006

webby_genographic.jpgThe Genographic Project, which we produced for the National Geographic Society, has been named the winner of the 2006 Webby Award for Science. It was also awarded the People's Voice award in the same category. Called the "Online Oscars" by Time Magazine, the Webby Awards this year received over 5,500 entries from across the world. This is the second Webby Award for Terra Incognita, which also won for Becoming Human in 2002.

Churchill and the Great Republic Receives MUSE Award

April 28, 2006

AAM_Churchill.jpgChurchill and the Great Republic, an online exhibition Terra Incognita produced for the Library of Congress, has received a silver MUSE award from the American Association of Museums. The judges said, "This is one of the best Web sites we have seen in a long time. The elegant and professional manner in which it is presented is outstanding. From the look-and-feel, the content, the method of delivery, and the navigation, this Web site stands well above many in existence today. Very good job!"

SXSW 2006

February 11, 2006

sxsw2006.jpgIt’s that time of year again. South by Southwest (SXSW), Austin’s home-grown festival of music, film, and interactive, will take over the town in mid-March. It’s great to get so many creative people here at once to spark new ideas. We’re proud to announce that a couple of our projects — Churchill and the Great Republic and the Genographic Project — are finalists in the interactive competition’s Educational Resouce category.
