This site focuses on key moments in the lives of the last 12 presidents, those with presidential libraries managed by the National Archives and Records Administration. The site’s goal is to make available a selection of primary resources kept at each of the presidential libraries, connecting those items to key historical events and as well as presenting them in thematic exhibits. The project will also use the primary resources in extensive lesson plans that teachers can use in their classrooms. The central theme underlying these educational activities will focus on engaging students in the analysis and synthesis major historical decision points faced by each administration. The site is designed in a way that supports the dynamic growth of the timeline itself and the education resources that utilize it.
