These interactives trace two important train rides of Abraham Lincoln. In the first interactive visitors can follow Lincoln’s journey from Springfield, Illinois to Washington for his inauguration in 1861. The second interactive covers Lincoln’s funeral train as it returns to Springfield after his assassination in 1865. Supplementing both journeys are contemporary newspaper accounts, photographs, and other documents, creating a rich, layered experience. I designed this project while with Cortina Productions.
